Welcome to Sail to Your Future (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), Colleen Schaefgen, Principal, a Division of Successful Enterprises, Inc. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our website, coaching services, programs, and related offerings (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms
Colleen Schaefgen provides retirement life design coaching focused on the non-financial dimensions of retirement, including personal fulfillment, relationships, purpose, identity, and lifestyle alignment.
By scheduling a session, enrolling in a program, accessing materials, or using our website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
2. User Eligibility & Account Requirements
You must:
Be at least 18 years of age
Provide accurate and complete information when booking services
Use the Services only for lawful purposes
We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate access if information provided is inaccurate or if these Terms are violated.
3. Scope of Services
The Company provides:
1:1 retirement life coaching sessions
Coaching programs (individual and/or couples, and groups)
Digital materials, exercises, and tools
Workshops or group experiences (if offered)
Coaching is a collaborative process designed to support reflection, goal-setting, and forward planning.
Coaching is not:
Financial advice
Legal advice
Tax advice
Mental health therapy
Medical counseling
You are solely responsible for decisions, actions, and results arising from coaching sessions.
4. Payment & Refund Policy
Payment Terms
Fees are listed on our website or agreed upon in writing.
Payment is required prior to the start of services unless otherwise stated.
Accepted payment methods: credit card and debit card
For packages or programs, payment may be due in full or according to a mutually agreed payment plan.
Refund Policy
Coaching sessions already delivered are non-refundable.
Unused sessions in a package may be refundable only if explicitly stated in your service agreement.
Missed sessions without required notice may be forfeited.
We reserve the right to modify pricing at any time, with changes applying only to future purchases.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
All materials provided through the Services — including worksheets, exercises, frameworks, written content, audio, video, and branding — are the intellectual property of Successful Enterprises, Inc.unless otherwise stated.
You may:
Use materials for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not:
Reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, or share materials without written permission.
Use our name, trademarks, or branding without consent.
If you submit testimonials, feedback, or comments, you grant us permission to use them for marketing purposes unless you request otherwise in writing.
6. FTC Compliance & Disclosures
From time to time, testimonials, case studies, or endorsements may appear on our website or materials.
These reflect individual experiences and do not guarantee specific outcomes.
If affiliate links or partnerships are ever used, they will be disclosed clearly in accordance with Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidelines.
7. User Conduct & Prohibited Activities
You agree not to:
Use the Services for unlawful purposes
Harass, abuse, or threaten the Company or other participants
Attempt to copy, hack, or disrupt website functionality
Share private session content of others without consent
We reserve the right to terminate services for violations of this section.
8. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
No Guarantees
While we aim to provide meaningful tools and guidance, we make no guarantees regarding specific personal, emotional, relational, or lifestyle outcomes.
Results depend on individual participation, decisions, and circumstances.
Disclaimer of Warranties
Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for:
Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Loss of income, opportunities, or emotional distress
Decisions made based on coaching discussions or options explored as a result of those discusssions
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for Services in the preceding 12 months.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Colleen Schaefgen and her representatives from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:
Your use of the Services
Your violation of these Terms
Your decisions made following coaching sessions
10. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any disputes shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation.
If unresolved, disputes shall be handled via binding arbitration in Maryland, Baltimore County.
Each party shall bear its own legal fees unless otherwise required by law.
11. Termination of Services
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate Services if:
Payment is not received
You violate these Terms
Continued engagement becomes inappropriate or unproductive
You may discontinue Services at any time, subject to payment obligations and refund terms.
12. Revisions & Updates to the Terms
We may update these Terms periodically.
The updated version will be posted on our website with a revised Effective Date.
Continued use of the Services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company regarding the Services and supersede all prior agreements.
